I posted on another thread. Firstly, thank you so much to Kim and her tireless support of my neice Sara. I try to talk with Sara weekly and I can tell you she is overwelmed by the global support. Secondly, thank you all for your support as well. We are so close and we have to be very careful about what we do. I see her coming home soon. Keep praying.

HONESTLY SOLARADREAMER I WONDERED DA SAME THING.BUT WHAT CAME TO MY MIND WAS.....THE HMONG GUY THAT IS IN JAIL AND MY COWORKER TOOK THE DAY OFF TO JOIN OTHER HMONG PPL AT DA STEPS OF DA CAPITOL TO RALLY FOR HIS RELEASE.IT WAS A PEACEFUL RALLY AND THEY HELD PRAYER ON THE STEPS OF DA CAPITOL.LIKE YOURSELF IM CURIOUS AS TO HOW THIS COULD TURN INTO SOMETHING NEGITIVE? I ENVISIONED ALL OF US PURCHASING "FREE SARA KRUZAN T SHIRTS" AND WEARING THEM AND LOCAL NEWS BEING THERE AND TAKING NOTICE.......

Gosh....While I respect all of you who are directly representing Sara in this case, and while we obviously all support her release, why would a peaceful demonstration in huge numbers not be in Sara's best interest? I ask not in argument but in real curiousity. Some of the most powerful processes of change were because of events where large groups of people with a passionate belief took to the norm and stepped up. Take Dr. King's speech, Woodstock, and the latest President Obama's inaguration, for example. When people gather together, others pay attention. Not to mention the power of prayer in large numbers. Was this a direct request by the governor's office or something decided within Sara's support group? I'd really like to know...

I've been amazed at many different moments throughout my time being involved with Ms. Kruzan's case. I was first amazed at the level of support Ms. Kruzan had before I even showed up. Secondly, I was amazed at the dedication of Ms. Kruzan's supporters who in their hearts and minds know that a grave injustice was committed and are willing to do whatever it takes to see that injustice turned into justice. Lastly, I was amazed at just how friendly and generous Ms. Kruzan's supporters have been towards one another. I had the pleasure of getting to know some of Ms. Kruzan's supporters very well. They are good people, hard working people, and above all extremely caring people. We all are very different and in many ways are differences are what has made this movement to free Ms. Kruzan flourish and prosper. I'd love to have a rally but in reality it's not truly in the best interest of Ms. Kruzan at this time. A rally would cause more harm to Ms. Kruzan's cause right now. We all want what is best for Ms. Kruzan and at this time what is best for Ms. Kruzan is to continue to mail our clemency letters to the governor of California and tell as many friends, family members, neighbors, etc about Ms. Kruzan and why we support her. We have come such a long way since last year. Newspapers have endorsed Ms. Kruzan's clemency petition, over 4,000 people have signed the petition on-line, FB groups have been created that started with 2,000 people and now have over 7,000 people, and above all Ms. Kruzan herself is happy!! Ms. Deanne has been by Ms. Kruzan's side from the very beginning. Batman and Robin step aside meet Kim Deanne and Sara Kruzan. The way forward is clear!! We must stand together now more than ever. I pray that this December is truly one to remember for Ms. Kruzan.

Thanks Kim for clarifying the situation about rallies for Sara. Like solardreamer and many others I feel impelled to "do more" and wish thre was a way we could . However, i'm happy to honor your opinion about this, and thanks for all you ar doing.
also, i sgree with you Fred that we can keep sending the letters.
After I sent the first one, I thought I would send another. I think it'sa good idea to thank Arnold for signing that bill- The California Supply Chain and Transparency Act, and for " taking the lead" on abolishing human trafficking. And remind him he's got one more big thing to do!

I can understand people wanting to "do more" because I feel the same way! However, I would suggest, if you've already written your own, personal letter to Governor Schwarzenegger, to write another one. You can use the template that's posted on the Campaign for the Fair Sentencing of Youth's website here:
http://www.endjlwop.org/how-you-can-help/take-action-and-support-
clemency-for-sara-kruzan/
Or if you've already sent him a letter using their template, write another one in your own words. Either way, the more letters he receives pleading for justice and freedom for Sara, the bigger impact they will have.

Just my two cents!

Hi Solar - I have thought about organizing demonstrations of all kinds to support the freedom of Sara... I have talked to several organizations, media outlets.... throughout the years, etc....but as we get closer to the finish line - with Sara's clemency/freedom on the line.........we must be cautious and strategic in our movements... At this time, we (Sara, her attorney's, her family and myself) collectively do not feel that a demonstration is in the best interest of Sara.

You mentioned that faith without action is dead... please understand that we have come a loooong way in Sara's case. "Action" has been a huge part of Sara's campaign success. Without action, this site would not exist, the 30,000 petition signatures collected would not exist, FB group pages would not exist, the clemency would not exist, motions filed in court would not exist......the hundreds of thousands of letters & supporters would not exist.... The plan of action used to reap results on Sara's behalf has done us a lot of good here... for now we have to continue on this path..

I humbly respect you and all supporters for wanting to rally and do whatever you can to help... words cannot express the joy that I feel and the "beyond joy" that Sara feels. Together we stand to make a difference........ and together we have to stand united.

Hi Kim,

I appreciate your explanation on the topic of rallies, sit ins, etc. While I completely agree with your approach not to make this a political battle, there are several other approaches that could be taken with much higher impact potential. Rallies don't have to be centered around the problem, but rather the solution. I think a massive demonstration of love "a love in" if you will, would be incredibly effective in Sara's case. I too am a believer and while prayer is significally important in any battle of injustice, faith without action is dead. Please take a little time to consider it....

Hello everyone... Thanks so much for your support. I would like to address your questions about why we cannot have any rally's, lobby days or sit-in's at this time...

After several years of personally working to bring Sara's case to the forefront along with Sara's attorney's who have been working very hard to get Sara's sentence vacated we are 'finally' in a great position. We could not have done it without your support.... Sara's cause has became not only a movement, but a face and a heart for human trafficking victims all over the world.. regular people like you and I who just want to help bring her home.... we are going to win this battle to set her free, but we cannot challenge her freedom by creating a "political" movement at this time.

Trust me when I tell you, they (officials) hear our voices. The Governor has received hundreds of thousands of our letters from across the nation...(US, UK, CHINA, SWITZERLAND, AFRICA, UKRANE - I can go on and on) We have to continue to push this movement in faith and in trust... letters, blogs...

We must do what is in the best interest of Sara... I have not steered anyone wrong throughout my commitment to Sara and I will not steer anyone wrong now... Let's keep up the good fight to free our dear friend... please continue to spread the word..

If you have further questions or concerns, please feel free to email me directly: kimdeanne@freesarakruzan.org

Many of you have expressed an interest in organizing Lobby Day's, Rally's and Sit-In's... It is in Sara's best interest for us to not organize any such event(s) at this time.

I just thought I'd mention it in case you hadn't read it yet. I ALWAYS trust Kim's judgment and follow her lead and instructions when it comes to advocating for our dear friend Sara.

Blessings,
Fred

this is a reply to solardancer- we do need a demonstration- thanks to
you and your church to get it going. We do need to get the word out though. there could be a1,000 people there- Sara has so many fans and supporters.
OK I'trying to send an answer to solardancer-about the rally. It's a graet idea, and very good of
also the day you picked is good, but awfully close to when Arnold leaves. I'd really like him to do it tomorrow, or the day after. Also I have been thibking about pardons people give out in the holiday season, so I;m still hoping that might happen.

I wonder if Rachel Lloyd could call him up, make an appointment? if she could she'd leave his office with that clemency in her hand.
